I had a bit more trouble than I would have expected trying to find a page on APC’s website to enter a serial number and check the warranty status of a UPS.

Over on the UPS Lifecycle page, there’s a serial check to verify the warranty status of a UPS with its serial number.

You can also get a rough estimate of the UPS warranty status by looking at the serial number as there’s a date code embedded in it.

Simply find the serial number, ignore the first two characters and the next four characters are the last two digits of the year and then the week of manufacture. For example, if the serial number starts out 3S1444 then this unit was made in 2014 in the 44th week, which is late October/early November.
