Universal Print Drivers for Windows 11 arm64

I’ve been deploying more and more Snapdragon powered PCs for clients lately and generally they’re really good. They are fast, the battery life is great and they run all the apps people are using – either natively or via translation.

The one exception is printing to older (or even current) printers. When using an arm64-powered PC, print drivers MUST be arm64 architecture. x64 drivers will not work at all.

Most printers, particularly if they’re a couple of years old or more, do not have dedicated arm64 drivers.

Fortunately, many manufacturers have a generic or universal print driver that will usually at least allow you to print, and in some cases allow you to access more of the advanced functionality of the printer.

Xerox Global Print Driver

Xerox have a universal print driver for PCL and PostScript for Intel 64-bit (x64) and ARM (arm64)

You’ll need to select the OS as either Windows 11 or Windows 11 ARM64 from the drop-down menu.

HP Smart Universal Print Driver Series for Windows

Hewlett-Packard have universal print drivers for Intel 32-bit (x86), Intel 64-bit (x64) and ARM (arm64)

Konica Minolta Universal Printer Driver v4

Konica Minolta have a universal printer driver for Intel 32-bit (x86), Intel 64-bit (x64) and ARM (arm64)

I can’t seem to link directly to it, so go to the following page, select a relatively recent printer (I selected the bizhub C751i and then under Driver selected English and Windows 11 (ARM)

https://www.konicaminolta.com.au/support#drivers

This gave me a link to download the universal driver which has 32 and 64-bit Intel as well as Windows 10 arm64 and Windows 11 arm4 installer executables. I can’t link directly to the downloaded driver as it’s on an Amazon CloudFront CDN.
